Donna's love of family, belief in God, interest in her Native American heritage and her love of fantasy and science fiction all influence her writing. While her fantasy novels are not "Christian", they portray journeys of faith with characters who follow paths that challenge and teach them trust, love, faith, respect, courage and acceptance as they battle prejudices, hate and fears.
